Our Mission Statement
Harmonia Baroque Players was established to perform the rich and plentiful small ensemble repertoire of the Renaissance and Baroque period, playing not only the popular works, but also the lesser-known masterpieces of this era. We are also deeply committed to providing affordable, high quality performances, thus making the enjoyment of live music concerts available to a wide audience which might not be able to afford higher priced events. Ticket prices are kept very low, but anyone who cannot afford even that will be admitted for free.

What We Do
The Harmonia Baroque Players has a very large repertoire of baroque chamber music, but also performs works from the medieval, renaissance and contemporary periods. The group is committed to present not only the well-known works but also lesser-known masterpieces. Baroque music selections are played on period instruments at the pitch of a=415.
The ensemble presents a 3-concert series in three locations: The Pasadena concerts will take place at Oneonta Congregational Church, 1515 Garfield Avenue., South Pasadena (one block north of Huntington Drive). The Rancho Palos Verdes concerts will be held at Peninsula Community Church;5640 W. Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes and the Irvine concerts will be held at Concordia University (Good Shepherd Chapel) 1530 Concordia West, Irvine.
Besides presenting their own concert series, the Harmonia Baroque Players engaged in many other organization's chamber music series. They have given an informative lecture-recital in the Newport Beach Library and another for “Academy of Lifelong Learning” in the Orange County Museum of Art.
The Harmonia Baroque Players present entertaining educational programs for children and adults. They have performed for thousands of school children under the sponsorship of the Orange County Philharmonic Society and the Orange County Performing Arts Center's "From the Center" educational program. At these informal events they talk a little about their instruments as well as about the music performed and play short selections from the medieval, renaissance, baroque and contemporary periods. Similar programs were given in dozens of libraries, community centers, senior centers, colleges and universities.
The Harmonia Baroque Players are available to provide festive music for private events as well. They perform regularly for weddings, banquets of all types, fund-raising events of organizations, art exhibits, etc. They are very versatile and can perform as a duet, trio, quartet or quintet in many different instrumental combinations.
